Of all the guys to walk in looking for a tutor, did it have to be Foster Kane?
I’ve avoided him like the plague since our one night together freshman year turned into the world’s most humiliating disaster—followed by the worst year of my life.
It wasn’t hard. I’m practically invisible on campus, while he’s the golden boy of the hockey team—popular, charming, and constantly surrounded by adoring fans.
But avoiding him stops being an option when I’m assigned to be his math tutor.
Now I’m stuck spending hours each week with the guy who once made me feel like nothing…and suddenly won’t stop looking at me like I mean something.
The only thing getting me through is Bear—my anonymous online friend. He’s kind. Funny. Safe. We met on a Stardew Valley server and clicked instantly. I’ve never even seen his face, but talking to him feels like breathing.
He’s the only guy I trust.
Which is why it hurts like hell when I find out he’s been lying to me.
Because Bear… is Foster.
And I don’t know if I can ever forgive him.
Campus Crush is a steamy college hockey romance with gaming banter, hidden identities, and a cinnamon roll hockey player who’s determined to do whatever it takes to earn a second chance. It is the first book in the CFU Hockey series.
Audiobook performed in duet by Celia Stone and Christian Fox.

Revisiting this after Campus Rival was such a treat, especially getting to see the origins of the found family. Abby and Foster’s journey—from anonymous gamer friends (PeachyKeen & BigBear88) to tutor and student to something deeper—was incredibly satisfying. Foster was completely gone for Abby, and it showed in the sweetest ways.
The story follows Abby, a quiet college student trying to stay invisible, and Foster, the golden boy hockey player she’s avoided since their disastrous past. When she becomes his tutor, their worlds collide again—made even more complicated when she discovers her trusted online friend “Bear” is actually Foster. The mix of secrets, emotional tension, and second chances made this such an engaging listen.
My heart truly ached for Abby and her little brother Mason after everything they’ve been through. Foster’s family situation added another layer of frustration and depth. Both Abby and Foster carry insecurities, and watching them work through those emotional layers made their story feel real and compelling.
Celia Stone perfectly captures Abby’s vulnerability, resilience, and quiet strength, making her incredibly easy to root for. Christian Fox brings depth to Foster, balancing his confident exterior with the softer, more emotional side that makes him such a lovable cinnamon roll hero.
This audio blended emotion, romance, and excellent narration and I truly love the CFU hockey world.
I loved this book so much.
Abby and Foster are such a cute and loveable couple. There story had me laughing, crying and swooning.
I love how Cadence highlighted learning differences in this book. As someone who's dyslexic its very cool to see other learning differences appear in romance books
I listened to the audiobook version... The narrators did a sensational job bringing Abby on Forster to life.
I loved Abby and Foster! Abby has such a realism to her because learning your freshman crush is actually the person who you’ve been gaming with for the past few years(?!?) and the person you are (stuck) tutoring would make anyone need an all expense paid vacation. Unfortunately, Abby doesn’t have a vacation she has classes, tutoring, her internship, and a certain hockey hottie to ignore/obsess over. Foster has some trouble with math (and a father who wouldn’t let a potential learning disability be treated correctly), so his teacher recommends the university’s tutoring services. Luckily for him, his tutor is very good at teaching and very pretty. Though, she does not send him any of her dazzling smiles his way, but Foster is willing to work for it!
I really like how patient Foster was with Abby. He lets her set the pace and is really just gone for her. It’s adorable!
Women in STEM!!! I loved the representation in this story! Abby is studying civil engineering and she has an internship with an engineering firm where coincidentally Foster and his dad (yuck) need to do some business with.
The narrators were new to me and they did a wonderful job with all of the voices and really bringing these characters to life! The audiobook is duet narration (female narrator voiced all the female lines in the story and vice versa with the male narrator)!! I listened at 1.2x speed.
